The Role

Xtravirt are looking for an administrator to join their busy sales team.   The Sales Administrator will provide essential support to the Sales Director and their work will contribute to the overall success of the sales team.  The individual’s progression will be supported through a formal training and mentoring programme.  The role is ideally suited to someone keen to develop their career in IT sales or the professional services sector.

The individual we are looking for will be confident, organised and able to manage a variety of tasks and priorities.  They will have a genuine interest in gaining knowledge of virtualisation and/or cloud solutions, and any existing knowledge and experience in this area would be a distinct advantage.

As a Sales Administrator, you will:

  • contribute to the building and development of strategic relationships with leading technology vendors and cloud providers (e.g. VMware, Azure, AWS), channel partners and enterprise customers
  • be responsible for a variety of sales administration and reporting tasks that will inform sales strategies and fulfil operational and stakeholder requirements
  • evangelise Xtravirt and its capabilities to customers and stakeholders
  • be a secondary contact for key stakeholders

The Responsibilities

  • The administration of vendor incentive programmes and the registration of deals through the appropriate channels
  • Acting as a secondary contact for Account Managers and key stakeholders
  • You will execute on planned communications to nurture partners and customers
  • Assist with the creation of solution quotations
  • Produce monthly reports for management
  • Facilitate the regular input and maintenance of customer contacts in the CRM system
  • Take ownership of a range of sales reporting tasks ensuring they get started and completed each month
  • Flag issues and help ensure they get resolved in a timely manner
  • Complete regular online sales training for selected technologies

Key Skills and experience

The individual will:

  • have studied IT and/or gained experience within the IT industry
  • have a ‘sales mindset’ as well as a technical empathy for the solutions being presented to understand the customer value proposition
  • have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • be organised and able to manage your time effectively
  • have a good level of self-awareness
  • possess excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • have a high level of commercial awareness

Salary

£22k – £25k + benefits package + bonus
